Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 August 2026
1. About Us and These Terms
This store, www.vgr.store (“the website”), is operated by GENUINE ECOMMERCE SOLUTIONS LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09620334, with registered office at 75 Gemini Park, Manor Way, Borehamwood, WD6 1BX, United Kingdom. You can contact us at contact@vgr.store.
We are an authorised UK retailer of VGR products. All products are supplied brand new unless expressly stated otherwise on the product page. VGR and its associated names, logos and trade marks are owned by or licensed to their respective rights holders; our authority to sell VGR products does not transfer ownership of those rights to us, to our customers or to any other person.
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the website and all orders placed through it. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them together with our Return & Refund Policy, Delivery Policy, Warranty and Privacy Policy, which form part of these terms; where a conflict arises, the specific policy applies to the subject matter it covers.
Sections 1–14 and 16–24 apply to consumers. Section 15 applies where you purchase as a business and replaces the consumer provisions for those orders.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or replaces any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Where a provision conflicts with a mandatory legal right, the legal right applies.
2. Eligibility
By placing an order you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract and, if you are under 18, that you have the permission of a parent or guardian. Orders may be placed only for delivery within the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
3. Products and Product Information
We take care to describe and display our products accurately. Product images, colours and packaging are for illustration; appearance may differ slightly on your screen, and manufacturers may change packaging or minor specifications without notice. Minor variations of this kind do not entitle you to reject the goods, but this does not affect your rights where a product is materially different from its description.
All products are subject to availability. We may withdraw a product from sale, or change its specification or price, at any time before your order is accepted.
4. Prices, Payment and Pricing Errors
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where applicable, and are as displayed regardless of delivery destination. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout in accordance with our Delivery Policy, and the total payable is confirmed before you submit your order.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout, which may include Shopify Payments, PayPal and Klarna. Payment is taken or authorised at the time of ordering. Where you pay using an instalment or deferred payment provider, your agreement with that provider is separate from your contract with us and subject to that provider’s terms. We do not receive or store your full card details.
Pricing and information errors. Despite our best efforts, a product may occasionally be listed with an incorrect price, discount, stock status or description. Where we identify an error before accepting your order, we may correct the information, notify you of the correct price and invite you to confirm or cancel, or decline the order. We are not obliged to supply a product at an incorrect price where the error is obvious and unmistakable and a reasonable customer could have recognised it as a mispricing — for example, a product normally sold at around £30 listed at £3. Where such an error is discovered after acceptance but before delivery, we may cancel the affected contract and refund all amounts paid for that product.
We will not cancel an accepted order merely because a correctly displayed price later becomes commercially inconvenient, because the product is later offered at a different price, or because we decide a correctly advertised promotion was too generous. We will never charge more than the price accepted at checkout without your agreement.
5. How a Contract Is Formed
Your order is an offer to buy from us. Our acknowledgement of your order — including any automatic order confirmation email — confirms only that we have received it. It is not acceptance of your order, does not guarantee stock availability or dispatch, and does not create a binding contract. Authorisation or collection of payment before dispatch does not, by itself, constitute acceptance.
A contract comes into existence only when we send a dispatch confirmation for the relevant products. Where products from one order are dispatched separately, each dispatch confirmation accepts only the products identified in it, and a separate contract forms for each.
Before submitting your order, please check the product, model, colour or variant, quantity, delivery and billing details, delivery method, any discount, the delivery charge and the total price. If we are unable to accept your order, we will notify you and refund any amount paid in full.
6. Orders We May Decline or Cancel
We may refuse, limit, reduce or cancel an order before acceptance where we reasonably consider that: the product is unavailable or withdrawn; payment is declined, reversed, unauthorised or cannot be verified; billing, payment and delivery details are materially inconsistent; the delivery address is incomplete, invalid or cannot be served by an appropriate delivery service; the product cannot lawfully or safely be delivered to the destination; the order exceeds a quantity limit under Section 7, or connected orders appear designed to avoid one; the order appears intended for unauthorised bulk resale or marketplace arbitrage, or should properly be handled as a trade order; there is an obvious pricing, discount or product-information error; a promotion, discount or technical error is being deliberately exploited; we reasonably suspect payment fraud, identity misuse, account takeover, product substitution or return fraud; you have made a materially false statement to us; you have an amount lawfully due to us, or have previously made a knowingly false or fraudulent chargeback; you have materially abused our returns, promotions, accounts or customer-service processes; you have threatened, harassed or abused our staff, contractors or service providers; or accepting the order would expose any person to a safety, regulatory, sanctions or legal risk.
We may request reasonable information or verification before deciding whether to accept an order. Where we decline or cancel before acceptance, no contract is formed for the affected products and any amount paid is refunded in full to the original payment method.
Once an order has been accepted, we will cancel it only where these terms expressly permit it, performance has become unlawful or impossible, you commit a material breach, an obvious and unmistakable pricing error applies, an event outside our reasonable control prevents performance, or the law otherwise permits cancellation.
We may also refuse future orders on the grounds above. We will not refuse an order or close an account merely because a customer made a genuine complaint, exercised a statutory right, returned an eligible product, reported a genuine safety issue, or raised a payment dispute in good faith — and refusing future business does not affect rights arising from an order already accepted.
7. Quantity Limits
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you may purchase a maximum of 5 units of the same product (SKU) in a single order. We may display or apply a lower limit for a particular product, promotion, limited-stock item, customer, delivery address or payment method.
We may treat two or more orders as connected where we reasonably believe they were placed by the same person or business, through related accounts, using the same payment method, for delivery to the same or a connected address, or as a coordinated attempt to avoid a quantity limit. Where an order exceeds a limit, we may reduce the quantity, reject part or all of the order, request further information, or invite you to contact us about trade terms. Any amount paid for products we do not accept will be refunded or released to the original payment method.
Larger quantities may be supplied only where we confirm this in writing. Allowing a larger quantity on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce quantity limits on another order.
8. Delivery
Delivery is governed by our Delivery Policy, which covers dispatch times, delivery charges, estimated delivery times, secure delivery for higher-value orders, delayed and lost parcels, and refused or undeliverable parcels.
Products remain at our risk until they come into your physical possession, or the physical possession of a person identified by you to take possession of them. Ownership passes to you when we have received payment in full.
9. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Your rights to cancel, return products and receive a refund are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which sets out your statutory cancellation rights, our extended return period, condition requirements, deductions for diminished value, return shipping and refunds.
10. Faulty Products and Warranty
Your legal rights where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described are set out in our Return & Refund Policy and are not affected by these terms. Products are additionally covered by the commercial warranty described in our Warranty page, which is provided in addition to, and does not replace or restrict, your statutory rights against us as the seller.
11. Our Responsibility to Consumers
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for deliberate misconduct, for breach of your statutory rights in relation to the products, and for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable where it is an obvious consequence of the breach, or where both parties knew when the contract was made that it might happen.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable; that resulted from inaccurate or incomplete information you supplied; that resulted from use contrary to the product instructions or safety warnings, unauthorised alteration or repair, or normal wear; that resulted from a delivery instruction you gave to the carrier; or that could reasonably have been avoided by following our instructions.
Products supplied to consumers are for personal and domestic use. We are not liable for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings, business opportunity, commercial reputation or business interruption. Where products are bought wholly or mainly for business purposes, Section 15 applies instead.
12. Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, as described in our Delivery Policy. We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and will contact you if your order is materially affected. This does not affect your statutory rights, including your rights where delivery does not take place within the periods required by law.
13. Customer Accounts
Where the website offers customer accounts, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Please notify us promptly at contact@vgr.store if you believe your account has been used without your authorisation.
We may suspend, restrict or close an account, or cancel orders placed through it, where we reasonably consider it necessary because of suspected fraud, account takeover or identity misuse; unauthorised payment activity; product-switching, empty-parcel returns, fabricated delivery or fault claims or altered proof of postage; knowingly false or abusive chargebacks; repeated misuse of promotions, or use of multiple accounts to avoid restrictions; abusive or threatening conduct towards our staff or service providers; interference with the website or its security; or material breach of these terms. We may request reasonable verification before restoring access.
Suspension or closure does not remove your statutory rights, your rights under an order already accepted, or any amounts lawfully due under an existing contract.
14. Promotions, Discount Codes and Free Gifts
Discount codes and promotions are subject to any additional terms stated with them, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be limited by date, quantity, product, or to one use per customer or household. We may withdraw or amend a promotion at any time before your order is accepted.
Unless stated otherwise, codes cannot be combined with other offers, and the free-delivery threshold is calculated after discounts are applied. Where a promotional gift is supplied with a qualifying order, its treatment on a return is set out in our Return & Refund Policy.
We may cancel an order and withdraw a discount where a code has been obtained or used in a way not intended — for example through unauthorised publication of a private code, use of multiple accounts, or manipulation of the checkout.
15. Business, Trade and Wholesale Orders
This section applies where you buy wholly or mainly for purposes relating to a trade, business, craft or profession — including purchases by a company, partnership or sole trader for business use; for a barbershop, salon or professional grooming use; for demonstration or training; for retail or online resale; under a trade account; or as part of a bulk or wholesale transaction. The number of products bought does not by itself determine whether you are a consumer or a business customer. Where this section conflicts with another provision, this section prevails for the relevant business purchase. Our consumer Return & Refund Policy does not apply to business purchases, and statutory consumer rights do not apply to them.
15.1 Authority. A person placing an order on behalf of a business confirms that they are authorised to enter into the contract and to use the payment method, that the information supplied is accurate, and that the business agrees to these terms. We may rely on reasonable indicators of business purchase, including the email address or company name used, the payment method, the delivery address, trade account permissions and previous dealings.
15.2 Formation. A contract forms when we confirm acceptance in writing or dispatch the products, whichever is earlier. Quotations are invitations to treat and may be withdrawn at any time.
15.3 No change-of-mind cancellation or returns. Once accepted, a business order may not be cancelled without our written agreement, and we do not accept returns of correctly supplied products — including where the wrong model or quantity was ordered, demand changed, the product is unsuitable for an undisclosed purpose, your own customer cancelled, or the product is available more cheaply elsewhere. Any business return we accept is a voluntary commercial concession which: must be authorised by us in writing before sending; must be returned within the period stated in our authorisation, unused, complete and in fully resalable condition with original packaging; is sent at your cost and risk; is subject to inspection and testing; may be subject to a restocking or handling charge stated in the authorisation; may be reduced for missing items, damaged packaging or diminished value; and creates no right to return any other order. Unauthorised returns may be refused. Specially ordered, bulk, wholesale or separately negotiated products are non-cancellable and non-returnable unless we agree in writing or the products are non-conforming.
15.4 Inspection and notice of defects. You must inspect the products as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery and report visible damage, shortages, incorrect products or missing components to contact@vgr.store within 3 working days of delivery, with the order number, affected products, a description and photographs of the parcel, label, packaging and product. Latent defects must be reported promptly after discovery. Where notification is delayed, we may reject or reduce a claim to the extent that the delay has materially prejudiced our ability to verify the issue, establish when damage occurred, preserve evidence, pursue the carrier, recover the product or minimise the loss. Use, resale, installation or professional deployment after a reasonable opportunity to inspect may be treated as acceptance in respect of obvious visible defects, but not latent defects.
15.5 Our remedy. Where a business fault claim is verified, our obligation is, at our option, to repair the product, replace it with the same or a reasonably equivalent product, replace the defective component, issue a credit, reduce the price, or refund the amount paid for the affected product. We may select the remedy we reasonably consider proportionate, having regard to the nature of the defect, the cost and availability of repair, stock availability, the age and use of the product, and whether the remedy can be provided without unreasonable delay. We are not required to provide more than one remedy for the same defect, and are not obliged to accept the return of other products in the same order.
15.6 No fault found. Products returned as faulty may be inspected and tested. Where the product is found to be in working order, or the issue results from misuse, accidental damage, inadequate cleaning or lubrication, normal blade, foil or battery wear, incompatible accessories, incorrect charging, blockage by hair or debris, unauthorised alteration or repair, use outside the product’s water-resistance rating, or failure to follow the instructions, we may reject the claim, recover the reasonable cost of collection or return postage, require redelivery costs to be paid in advance, charge a reasonable testing fee where that fee was disclosed before testing and the claim had no reasonable basis, or offer a chargeable repair or replacement. We will not charge a testing fee merely because a genuine intermittent defect was difficult to reproduce.
15.7 Exclusion of implied terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all terms, conditions and warranties implied by statute or common law — including satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and correspondence with description — are excluded from business contracts.
15.8 Professional suitability. You are responsible for determining whether a product is suitable for your anticipated professional workload, continuous or repeated commercial use, your hygiene and electrical-safety procedures, your operating environment, your employees or contractors, and any regulatory requirements applying to your business. Unless our Warranty expressly states that professional or commercial use is covered, you must not assume that a consumer or domestic-use warranty applies to salon, barbershop, rental or other professional use. You must ensure all users read and follow the manual, maintain the product correctly, use suitable chargers and accessories, follow appropriate cleaning and hygiene procedures, stop using any product that appears unsafe, and comply with applicable workplace and electrical-safety obligations.
15.9 Limitation of liability. Subject to 15.10, our total aggregate liability arising under or in connection with a business contract, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, misrepresentation or otherwise, is limited to the total price paid for the products giving rise to the claim, and the cap applies collectively to all claims arising from the same or connected circumstances. We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, sales, contracts, anticipated savings, business opportunity or goodwill; reputational damage; business interruption; loss of use; loss or corruption of data; the cost of substitute equipment; loss arising from your own customer; or any indirect, special or consequential loss. You must take reasonable steps to mitigate any loss, and are responsible for maintaining insurance appropriate to your activities, the use of electrical equipment, business interruption, your liability to your own customers, and the value and commercial importance of the products. Each exclusion and limitation in this section applies only to the extent that it is reasonable and enforceable, and the remainder continues to apply if any part is found not to be.
15.10 Exceptions. Nothing in this section limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for deliberate misconduct, for breach of obligations as to title that cannot lawfully be excluded, for liability under product-liability law that cannot lawfully be excluded, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
15.11 Indemnity. You will indemnify us against reasonable third-party claims, liabilities, losses and costs arising directly from your unlawful use or resale of a product; material misuse contrary to the instructions; unauthorised modification or repair; removal or alteration of warnings, safety information or product identification; misleading repackaging or relabelling; any representation that you are an authorised VGR representative when you are not; any warranty or performance promise not authorised by us or VGR; unlawful advertising or resale activity; infringement of intellectual property rights through material you created; or breach of applicable product, consumer, advertising or safety law in your own resale operations. This indemnity does not apply to the extent the claim was caused by our breach, our negligence, a defect existing when the product was supplied, an inaccurate representation by us, or another matter for which we are legally responsible.
15.12 Title and payment. Risk passes on delivery. Ownership does not pass until we have received payment in full, and until then you must store the products separately, keep them identifiable as our property, and not alter or dispose of them other than in the ordinary course of business. Unless credit terms are agreed in writing, payment is due before dispatch; where credit terms apply, payment is due within the agreed period without set-off, and we may charge interest and recover costs on overdue amounts under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
15.13 Resale and branding. You may not represent yourself as our agent or distributor, or as an authorised reseller of VGR, or use our or VGR’s branding, images or marketing materials, without our prior written consent. You are responsible for complying with all laws applicable to your onward sale of the products.
15.14 Wholesale terms. Wholesale orders may be subject to separate written terms agreed between us, which prevail over this section to the extent of any conflict.
16. Reviews and Customer Content
Where the website allows reviews, ratings, questions, photographs or other content, your submission must be based on a genuine experience, be accurate to the best of your knowledge, relate to the relevant product, and must not impersonate another person, contain knowingly false or misleading information, conceal an incentive or material commercial relationship, disclose confidential or personal information about others, infringe anyone’s rights, be defamatory, threatening, discriminatory or abusive, contain unlawful or harmful material, or be submitted to manipulate a rating.
Any discount, free product, payment, loyalty benefit or other incentive connected with a review must be clearly disclosed. Employees, contractors, suppliers, competitors and anyone else with a material connection to us, to VGR or to a competing business must disclose that connection.
We may verify whether a reviewer purchased the product, label reviews as verified or unverified, request information needed to assess authenticity, delay publication for moderation, remove duplicate or corrupted content, reject or remove content that breaches these terms, remove fake reviews or reviews concealing an incentive, and contact a contributor about their review. We will not reject, hide or remove a genuine review merely because it is negative or critical. We may publish a response to a review to give relevant factual information, explain troubleshooting, invite contact, correct a material factual error or explain the outcome of an investigation, without disclosing confidential or excessive personal information.
Licence. By submitting content you confirm that you own it or have permission to submit it, that its use will not infringe anyone’s rights, and that any identifiable person appearing in it has consented where required. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, resize, crop, reformat, translate and otherwise use the content to operate and promote the website, our products, our social media channels, our email communications and other lawful marketing, and to permit our service providers to do so on our behalf. You retain ownership of your content. We will not knowingly edit content in a way that materially misrepresents your meaning. This licence is subject to applicable data protection and intellectual property rights, and to any legal right to withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis.
17. Intellectual Property and Website Data
The website and its content — including text, product descriptions, page layouts, graphics, photographs, videos, logos, icons, databases, software and downloadable material — are owned by us, licensed to us, or used with the permission of their rights holders. VGR and related names, logos and trade marks belong to their respective rights holders and are used by us as an authorised retailer. No trade mark right or licence is transferred to you by purchasing a product.
You may access and use the website for personal browsing, purchasing, managing your orders, and printing or saving reasonable extracts for your own records. Without our prior written permission you must not: reproduce or republish substantial website content; copy product descriptions for commercial listings; use our photographs or videos commercially; scrape or systematically extract website data; use bots or automated tools to collect product, pricing, stock or customer information, or to place orders; create or maintain a competing product database from our content; use our content to train, develop or improve any commercial artificial intelligence or machine learning system; frame, mirror or clone the website; remove copyright, trade mark or attribution notices; register a confusingly similar domain name or social media account; use our branding in a way suggesting affiliation or authorisation; impersonate us, VGR or an authorised VGR representative; or use our content in unlawful marketplace listings. Ordinary indexing by legitimate public search engines in accordance with our technical settings is permitted.
18. Acceptable Use of the Website
You must not use the website in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent; introduce viruses or other harmful material; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or any connected system; or interfere with its proper working. We may suspend or withdraw access where you breach this section.
19. Website Availability
We aim to make the website available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the website for business or operational reasons, giving reasonable notice where we can.
20. Your Personal Information
We use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and the rights you have.
21. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If something has gone wrong, please contact us first at contact@vgr.store with your name, order number, a clear description of the complaint, any supporting information and the outcome you are seeking. We aim to acknowledge complaints within one working day and to resolve them promptly through our internal complaints process.
We do not currently subscribe to, or commit in advance to use, any particular alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider for ordinary retail disputes. Where we communicate the outcome of our consideration of a consumer complaint and you remain dissatisfied, we will provide information about any ADR or other dispute resolution arrangement available in the circumstances, as required by applicable law. We may agree to use an appropriately accredited ADR provider on a case-by-case basis; doing so in one case does not oblige us to do so in another. Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing proceedings before a court of competent jurisdiction.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may change these terms from time to time. The version in force when you placed your order applies to that order, except where a change is required by law or a later version gives you more favourable rights. The current version is always available on the website, and the date of the current version appears at the top of this page.
23. General
If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. If we delay in enforcing any term, that does not prevent us from enforcing it later. A contract between us is between you and us and no other person has any right to enforce it; a business customer may not transfer its rights or obligations without our written consent.
24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and any contract between us are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that nothing in this section deprives a consumer of any protection or right available under applicable consumer law, including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which they live.
